Hello. I am now a registered voter. 🙂

October 28, 2015 | Getting lost under someone’s gaze is way better than finding yourself tangled and lost in an almost-never-ending line at Ayala Center Cebu, all for the love of being registered in the coming 2016 National Elections.

But, hey! The efforts are all worth it.

The waiting, the process of enduring that mean guy who kept on pressing my older sister for her number, the hunger, the thirst, the humidity, the boredom, all paid off because in the end of the day, I got both my thumbs tinted in blue ink.

You know what; I’ve lived long enough in this country to know what ‘poor’ means. Lived 17 years to experience what it is to be lost under the hands of poverty and corruption. To be clueless of where your parent’s taxes are going. To feel cheated after voting for the person you thought would stand up for the truth and do what is right. I know what it means to be a defeated Filipino.

I know what it means to be a defeated Filipino.

Not that all people holding political offices are wicked and gluttons, I simply mean that a handful is on our nation.

But this isn’t forever. Even the gaze of someone dear couldn’t hold for eternity, so are these problems.

The elections are coming up, and I hope that my fellow kababayans (countrymen) know better this time. I hope that they we won’t get fooled by the luster of empty promises and propagandas. I hope that they we let our heads do the thinking, and not our greed. I hope that they we would care enough for the future, by doing the right thing even of it would bring a measure of pain.

For the record, the elections are not the cure to national problems, but it does have a say unto where the nation is heading. Whether were heading straight up to a sunset, or to the sunrise. IDK. It depends.

Finding your way back isn’t easy. That’s why the election season is the most hassle and stressful times of the year.

BUT, let’s be positive ;D

I know, in God’s own time and way, the Philippines will someday enjoy its golden years.  And besides, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. As long as we follow Him, I know we will all be in the right track.

This is what I’m sure of.
